Urology consultation environment

Urology

Discreet access to urology consultations and diagnostics at a clinic in the OpenMedical network.

Urology for men and women, from consultation to procedure in one place

Urology is nothing to fear or feel embarrassed about. The urologist listens calmly and in private, explains what each examination means, and suggests a path that makes sense for you.

The urology service covers urinary tract and bladder issues, enlarged prostate, kidney stones, infections, erectile difficulties, and questions of male fertility. For women, the urologist coordinates care with a gynaecologist so the diagnostic and treatment picture stays complete.

Smaller procedures are performed in the clinic’s own equipped operating facility, so they can be scheduled quickly without moving between sites. Consultation, examination, procedure, and follow-up all happen in one place, with your coordinator scheduling each step.

Prevention and screening

Routine check-ups and timely screening help catch issues before they develop further.

  • Initial urology examination (comprehensive physical exam including ultrasound of the kidneys, bladder, and the prostate in men)
  • Follow-up urology examination
  • Comprehensive urology check-up for men under 45: examination by a urologist-andrologist, ultrasound of the prostate, kidneys, bladder, and testicles, uroflowmetry, lab tests, and review of results
  • Comprehensive urology check-up for men aged 45+: same scope with lab tests focused on the 45+ age group

Surgical procedures

Smaller urology procedures are performed in the clinic’s own operating room, with gentle techniques and follow-up care directly on site.

  • Vasectomy (male sterilisation as a method of contraception)
  • Circumcision
  • Frenuloplasty (frenulum shortening of the penis)
  • Hydrocele surgery
  • Skin lesion removal

Special examinations and procedures

For sharper diagnosis and targeted treatment, the urologist offers an extended range of examinations and modern procedures.

  • Invasive urodynamic examination
  • Endoscopic examination of the urinary tract (flexible cystoscopy)
  • Endoscopic examination of the urinary tract (rigid cystoscopy)
  • Rezūm: water vapour therapy for an enlarged prostate

Laboratory tests

Lab tests sharpen the picture of what is going on and guide the next step in treatment.

  • Sexually transmitted infection testing
  • Urethral swab
  • Blood tests as recommended by the physician
